NEW V-Line: RIEGL VZ-400

The V-Line 3D Terrestrial Laser Scanner RIEGL VZ-400 provides high speed, non-contact data acquisition using a narrow infrared laser beam and a fast scanning mechanism. High-accuracy laser ranging is based upon RIEGL’s unique echo digitization and online waveform processing, which allows achieving superior measurement capability even under adverse atmospheric conditions and the evaluation of multiple target echoes. The line scanning mechanism is based upon a fast rotating multi-facet polygonal mirror, which provides fully linear, unidirectional and parallel scan lines.
The RIEGL VZ-400 is a very compact and lightweight surveying instrument, mountable in any orientation and even under limited space conditions. Read more …

Retro Targets Survey

Retro targets Survey  – yes,   retro targets are for survey and for surveyors. Leica, sokkia , trimble , nikon can use it without any problems.  Constans is always same – axe of the targets is same like axe of the surface where is target.

What surveying instruments can use retrotargets?

As we know retrotargets , or should I use retro targets , are a small reflective stickers with simple geometric shape like cross.  Surveyors use them for mark point.  What instruments they can use ?  Are those instruments must have any special function?   Lets start from beginning.  You can use every instruments TPS – total station or just simple theodolite.  for different instruments is different constants. Leica, Sokkia, Topcon, Trimble  – are working perfectly.  Also retrotargets are working with Leica Disto.

what is retro targets?

Retro targets are a targets with simple geometric shape like cross or something else, what allow you identification of one very accurate point (middle of cross for example). Surveying Total stations can use those targets with big accurate to self positioning.
